Centrally located, Orman park connects Aberdeen and the Central High neighborhood. These two neighborhoods are the primary parts of the town. Located also on Orman Avenue, directly across from Central High School, is the iconic and impressive structure of the Keating building. Constructed in Classical Revival and Renaissance styles in 1927, the Keating building served the District as a junior high school and an alternative campus. It is now on the National Register of Historic Places, but with plans of repurposing it into a multi-use hub for commerce, education, and culture facility.

Back then, railroaders and South Pueblo entrepreneurs lived in the Orman neighborhood while the mill workers lived around Bessemer. It is where one can find the century-old mansion previously owned by two Colorado governors, James Orman and Alva Adams.
